Loamy or sandy loam soil is best for the cultivation of small kangni. This crop grows well in soil with a good depth of 60-70 cm. For small eaves cultivation, a pH value of 6.5-7.5 is ideal.

2-In Rabi season in September-October

Before sowing the seeds should be soaked in water for 24 hours. Sowing should be done at a depth of 6-8 cm. 10-12 kg seeds are required per hectare.

Small Kangni crop requires weeding 1-2 times. The crop requires 2-3 waterings. The first irrigation should be done 10-15 days after sowing and the second irrigation should be done 15-20 days before the crop ripens.

Harvesting of Small Kangni Crop:

Chhoti Kangni crop should be harvested after maturity. The crop is dried in the sun for 2-3 days and then stored as grain.
